Designed to help prevent fin screws from pulling through, or cracking  the  deck of  the board.

The plastic domes reinfoce the area where the holes are drilled through to the fins.

When the fin gets run aground, the fin can twist and pull  the screw head through the board.

Plates can also save splits from occuring from the fin hole.

Sold in set of 4, will take most standard screws.
